ChessCube Ratings
Re: ChessCube Ratings
Hello,
I am a new user and I have only played one rated (wager) match and some free unrated tournaments but along with my general rating also my tournament rating dropped by the same amount of points. Why did that happen? Is that supposed to happen even though I have 0 rated tournament games played?

The rating floor is your max rating - 200 rounded low. This means that if you have achieved 1800 points you won't be able to get to 1600 less rating even if you lose, even if you get to 1899 points your floor rating is still 1600.
Another point is that the max floor rating is 2200. Even if you achieve a rating of 2600 points you can get as low as to 2200 points rating. And you can't go lower than 2200.

nice

Re: ChessCube Ratings
I have encountered same problem many times. My opponents disconnects in the middle if the game and does not finish it. Thee time runs out and I win the game on time, but my rankings don't rise and the game doesn't show on "My games". I feel many players have done this intentionally because they have been losing in the games and often done this after a big mistake. Is this some bug?
Re: ChessCube Ratings
I have heard that the ELO rating we are given on chesscube is higher than it would be in real life.
I am wondering if anyone has some sort of curve so i could figure out my 'real life' ELO raing.
If that isn't possible what would a rating of 1750 be in 'real' terms. so i can testmyskillz.
Thanks
