Weekend Warzone results

That's really quite interesting. Investing in a Weekend Warzone is serious business (1,000 cubits entry fee if you've not earned tickets earlier), it's good to see an example of earlier results.

Here's this just past Weekend Warzone results -- I thought I was pretty good at 2/0, but clearly not good enough! And, with the 'pause' option, if you've a large lead you may wish to pause so you do not risk a loss which will spoil your precious "winning streak" (which counts a LOT in warzones). Also, 60 minutes is a LONG time to be playing vigourous 2/0 games, you may wish to use 'pause' to take a nap midway through (re-activate the 'pause' option by clicking the blue/white "i" icon, beside the tourney name in the tourney window)

The 'qualifiers' (to earn "tickets" so you don't have to pay 1,000 cubits, merely 100 cubits if you can win a ticket twice in a row), are very easy compared to the main event -- heck, sometimes there's 20 tickets to be given away with only 18 or so entrants showing up -- you can't lose in that situation on trying for an entry ticket).

This is the current prize structure as of this moment for this weekend's event (it's subject to change, best to visit the event before entering and have a look at the prizes beforehand). The prize structure is no longer displayed once the event ends. There was a major reduction in prizes for the daily & weekend warzones a few months ago. Turnout for today's event is 120 members at the halfway point (might still be more arriving as late entrants), maximum participation is 1,000 entrants.

Reminder: entry fee is 1,000 cubits and event lasts a full hour. If you pay 1,000 cubits and place 1 to 40th, you've not lost any cubits. For a turnout such as today of 120 entrants, that's sounding pretty good if you're a strongish player (ave. strength so far of today's participants: 2051).

If you enter a warzone preliminary for 100 cubits and get a ticket (one of ten being offered in such events), and then use that ticket to enter a secondary and earn a ticket to the final (one of twenty being offered in such events), that's a less expensive route. Tickets do not expire. I find it's much easier to win a ticket when the turnout's low and since there are many such preliminaries offered for each event and the ticket is good forever, you may find it helps to pick and choose which you enter, based on apparent turnout.
