Re: Flash player troubleshoot! About flash version 10.2

You can disable individual plugins in Chrome:
In Chrome go to options.
Click on the "Under the hood" tab.
On the "Features" menu click on "Plug-ins".
Click on the link that says "Disable individual plug-ins".
On the right side of the screen click on the link that says "+ Details".
Scroll down to where it says "Shockwave Flash 10.2..." and click the "Disable" link.
There should still be a previous version of Shockwave Flash enabled, (mine says version 10.0 r32)

Re: Flash player troubleshoot! About flash version 10.2

google chrome fix and it works follow the steps and dont for get to restart your browser
Visit http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Disable Adobe Flash

Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar. Mac users: If you don't see the wrench icon, go to the menu bar at the top of your screen and click Chrome.
Select Options (Preferences on Mac and Linux).
Click the Under the Hood tab.
Click Content settings.
In the Content Settings dialog that appears, click the Plug-ins tab.
Click Disable individual plug-ins.
On the Plug-ins page that appears, find the "Flash" listing.
To disable Adobe Flash completely, click the Disable link under its name.
If you've previously installed Adobe Flash separately, you'll see two files listed for the plug-in. To disable a specific version of Adobe Flash, click Details in the upper-right corner of the page. Then click the Disable link for the version of Adobe Flash you want to disable. The version of Adobe Flash that's been built in to Google Chrome shows the file gcswf32.dll in its location field.
Restart the browser.

This isn't a solution...its a workaround. Please fix the underlying issue. When every other site is using the newest version of flash without a problem, I don't see why this site cannot do the same.

As explained in previous posts - this is a quick fix/workaround for a problem we're working on. Flash 10.2 was released and ChessCube is not as yet fully compatible with it. How about putting the same amount of effort that you're putting into whining about this towards using any of the quick fixes mentioned in the previous posts?

Be patient, we'll have a new version out soon.

Re: Flash player troubleshoot! About flash version 10.2

I am using Linux and Chrome.

I traced the file /opt/google/chrome/libflashplayer.so and simply replaced it with the same file, version 10.1

After I did that i typed about:plugins in address bar and guess what: it says "flash 10.1 installed"

It worked perfectly and it doesn't update back to 10.2.

Hope this helps!
