Un-official server down thread

Well, seeing as CC haven't made any offical announcement regarding the recent down time I thought maybe this would be a good thread for people to ask questions and get them answered.

Personally, as a paying customer, the very least I expect is an explanation why the site has been virtually useless for the majority of the community for the last week.

I am fully behind supporting CC through this tough patch but guys, get your act together and give your community some info.

I'm not sure if this is the case but I believe they made an announcement regarding the server host and that they would be transitioning to a new host in a couple of months. The current problem is probably related to this

as far as i know,one of the servers in germany broke down on sunday,,these things do happen,the developers are also working on fixing this downtime as we speek,kind regards mikey

We're aware of the issues with ChessCube at the moment. We are working with our server hosts to fully restore ChessCube ASAP.

If this is indeed correct then I think this is an extremely generous offer and some good customer service.
