ChessCube V6.28 changelog
Here's the change log for ChessCube V6.28 going live soon.
Cubit Economy Changes:
- Users will now receive 50 Cubits per day after playing their first rated game.
- Standard (Non-VIP) members are now charged 15 Cubits for all games played.
- VIP members now get a 15 Cubit discount on all games played, including Cubit Prize games.
The previous system did not provide VIP's any discount advantage when wagering games, they simply allowed VIP's to play for free when not playing Cubit Prize games. This system allows VIP's to get a discount on ALL played games.
E.G. in the previous system, when a VIP played a game wagering 50 Cubits, he was charged 50 Cubits to play that game. Now however, for the same Cubit Prize Game amount, he can still put 50 Cubits towards the prize, but will only be charged 35 Cubits.
Fixed Prize Chart:
- We've removed house rakes and fees based on Cubit Prize Games amounts. It is now just simply a fixed prize chart across all games, as shown here:
Changes to Cubit game prizes when playing with the Black pieces:
- Players playing with the Black pieces will win an extra 5% of the Cubit Prize amount when winning the game.
- A draw will split the prizes less 5% penalty coming out of the White players' share of the split. The 5% will then go to the Black player, having performed better in the game against his opponent with the White pieces.
These changes have been added to compensate the players who feel disadvantaged when they get the black pieces.
XP/Level Updates:
- Instead of receiving free Cubits every 5 levels, you will now receive 15 Cubits each time you level up
- You will be rewarded 50XP each time you rent a streaming video in our in-app video store
- When unlocking a VIP bonus in Level 100, 200 and 300, you will now receive the FULL VIP package!
View the current XP/Level information forum here.
Quad Tournaments:
- Two new Sit & Go Tournaments: Quad Bullet (1 min time control), and Quad Blitz (3 min time control)
The new prize structure in these tournaments are more consistent with the tournament experience and gives us more flexibility to offer additional forms of competition.
Interface changes:
- We've updated the Seek Panel to easily show the Cubit Prize Game selected, and outcomes.
- We've incorporated the ChessCube Forums into the "Chat" panel.
- We've changed the "Cubit Wagering" terminology to "Cubit Prize Games"
We hope you enjoy this release!
