HI all,

V6.17 change log:

• All new Level/XP system - introducing Levels 1-300! Info here: http://bit.ly/cclevels
• In-chat ChessCube related ads for non VIPs members, currently one advert for every 50 lines of text.
• Added a users' level count to their player card.
• Fixed a bug where if you do not have sufficient funds, you cannot start a game, includes 0 cubit games for non VIP's where a minimum pay in has been configured. Also users cannot respond to a challenge for a game if they have insufficient funds. You would recognize this as the "Your opponent does not have enough Cubits to play this game" bug.

We hope you enjoy this release and that you have fun with the new level system!

NOTE: All previous levels have been changed to the new system. We will not backtrack on awards - i.e. if you were previously level 18 and now jumped to level 122 in the new system, you will not receive the awards for level 1-122.

EDIT: We're aware of a display issue on the player card with regards to the level number in the blue star. This will be fixed in a new release later today.

Wait a minute, why shouldn't you backtrack on rewards? Does it cost you something to give us free backgrounds or something which you're going to give for free anyways? I'm not sure there's anything I care too much about there, but it kind of feels like you're punishing people who are higher levels. They leveled up just like everyone else just not under the new system. I don't understand...

Too bad there is not a fix in there for:

"If you can't validate your email account you can speak with a moderator for help besides going to the forums."

While enhancements are nice, I would appreciate a work around for that extremely buggy validation system. I don't even have the problem anymore, but it would be useful if something was done about it. We're here to play chess; the end-users' concerns should be addressed more than building on pretty updates.

I'm regular user of this web site. But I cant log in to this page from my IPAD-2 as its required flash player but apple doesnt allow this. Please let me know a way how can I use this website from my IPAD-2?

I although think that this is a little bit unfair for people with high level can't take bonuses which they earned. I am 200+ lvl and i think that i can have at least one month of free vip
