Bryan, here's the point! when it comes to honesty, multiple user names inflate the ranking of a country and when it comes to cheating, generally multiple user names deflate the ranking of a country (why? cos generally, a new account is made after the earlier account is banned)

Exactly,

Given, Sean is uncomfortable giving the ratio of cheaters/registered users in a given time period
Given, we want to stick to this list
May i propose that the word "Top" be removed and it shall be read as Bans for cheating - countrywise list and a list be given alphabetically instead of descending number of banned user ids.

that would be better
East or West , India is the best !

Re: Bans for cheating - Country list

Hi all,

As suggested, I've grouped each country by continent, in alphabetical order. Note though, that the numbers are still very visible, and does not hide anything at all. I suggest reading AAA_Venom's post if you still have any concerns regarding this thread.

Thanks for the suggestions and comments thus far! :)

My guess is the the thin-skinned nationalists will still find something to whine about :D

Here is a tip: don't want your country to show up on this list? STOP CHEATING! :naughty:

Thank you Sean. This should help reduce "generalisations" by some "highly respected" users of CC.

As always, Venom rocks!! :angelic-sunshine:

Bryan, I hope you understand that I had issue with what was posted and not with the people, like you, who have posted in opposition to what I thought. Just in case you thought in the contrary, I shall explicitly state that you remain among the most respected mods in CC for me.

~ May CC be a cheater less site
~ More importantly, may CC become/remain THE site for Chess community
~ Peace
