1.Kc3 Kb6 2.Nc5 Kb5 3.Rb7# Clever puzzle as backing up the King is hard to consider.

Good day John,

Really interesting one, although I have just found 3 or 4 ways to mate in 4.

Mates in 4 so far;

[FEN "8/4R3/2k5/8/1PK1N3/6p1/6B1/8 w - - 0 1"] 1. b5+ (1. Nxg3+ Kb6
(1... Kd6 2. Nf5# ) 2. b5 Ka5 3. Rb7 Ka4 4. Ra7# ) 1... Kb6 2. Nc5 (2. Nc3 Ka5 3. Nd5 Ka4 4. Ra7# ) 2... Ka5 3. Nb3+ Kb6 4. Rb7# 1-0

Looking forward to your mate in 3 explanation.

Regards Xabier.

Good day,

Nice one to find cza, I didn't look at first move of king retreat.

Nice one. I liked it. Although I believe I would do a mate in 4 in any game I play in that position.

Regards Xabier.
