Re: Knight#11
Good day,
This one is a thrilling game.
Ok let's see.
First of all the best move we see is the sounded move Nd5-e7+ uncovering the queen and the rook to attack blacks 8th file rook. Now we have to find the refutation to 1... BxNe7 2 f6xBe7 Qg5xe7 which protects the double attack on the d8 black rook.
The really nice move is 3 Rf1xf7!! having the bishop in c4 attacking too the pawn on c7 file. With that move black is in the need to defend the mate while losing both rooks to white bishop and rook + white having really strong position in middle columns with a rook and a queen.
It would be like this:
[FEN "3r1rk1/pb3p1p/1p3Pp1/2bN2q1/P1B1P3/8/3R2PP/3Q1R1K w - - 0 0"]
1. Ne7+ Bxe7 2. fxe7 Qxe7 (2... Rxd2 3. Bxf7+ Kg7 4. Qa1+ Rb2 5. Qxb2+ Kh6 6. exf8=Q+ Kh5 7. Qe2+ Qg4 8. Rf5+ Kh4 9. Qh6+ Qh5 10. Rf4# ) 3. Rxf7 Rxf7 (3... Rxd2 4. Rxe7+ Bd5 5. Bxd5+ Rxd5 6. Qxd5+ Kh8 7. Qe5+
Rf6 8. Qxf6+ Kg8 9. Qg7# ) 4. Rxd8+ Kg7 5. Bxf7 1-0
Regards Xabier.
PS: Look at if 5... QxBf7 or 5... KxBf7 then Rd7 and queen is trapped and if 5... Qxe4 pawn threating mate 6 Bd5!! 6... BxBd5 7 RxBd5!! if you take it with queen it lets backrank mate for black.
