Re: Pre-CCWC

swayams, too many people will apply for the tourney, its not possible to let ALL of them play ( we would have waaay too many teams ) . And of course, the higher rated players would be given more importance and would be selected over the lower-rated players. And, the best 4 players (the CCWC team) would be selected anyhow.

So, the CCWC team , i.e. the best 4 players per country get to play both, the pre CCWC and the CCWC. The other high-rated players would get a chance to play in the Pre-CCWC, and, the lower-rated players wouldn't get to play in either.

So I feel that the CCWC players should make way for others in the pre-CCWC and not play in the CCWC.

BUT, but, if it is possible for EVERYBODY(everybody who applies) to play the pre-CCWC, so be it.

I think that it's entry should be 100 cubits and prizes must be 550 crowns (100 to the winner, 90 to the runner up......10 to 10th ranked person). Moreover, the games must be rated. I don't think it should be a warzone, it may be a KO tournament, it would be fun, in this way, if two strong players are paired, we would at least see one being Knocked Out and raise our hopes to win some prize !!!There should be no handicap, as some players will deliberately lower their rating or create new a/c to get more handicap !! I am waiting eagerly for more information on chesscube's Pre-CCWC, good luck to everyone ! :)

Re: Pre-CCWC

How about conducting the tournament in rating like U2000,U1800 and so on.So everyone get's a chance to play. =d  (A)
And some tournaments doesn't fit to time of some countries. But this fits right.

Re: Pre-CCWC

Hey, many people are talkin about categories like U1800 U2000 etc, i think its a good idea but i was also thinkig about thing like TIME CATEGORIES, cus we have on CC some player who like to play 1or 2 minutes game and some who prefer longer ones like for example 10 or 5 minutes. What do you thing about it ? I know it would take some more time (tournament with longer game-time) but then we can make just fewer rounds. Waiting for response.

final_legend wrote:Well....I Think we must divide the tourney into 2... 1. 2200+ nd 2. below 2200 which helps those players having low rating to participate :) Thus CCWC2012 can be a bit different frm those of 2011 nd 2010 :) :violin:

So what about those between 2000-2200?? do they not get in???

Re: Pre-CCWC

First of all, there should not be categories, the best will play, its simple and makes sense. Second - i think that every country should have a room tournament and winners will participate in CCWC, it can be done manual by room moderators in same time control as games that will be played at official CCWC.
