To become a Moderator, you should be a good and honest player, reporting people if you see them break the rules. Users that enjoys helping other players and simply playing the game with enthusiasm, and also enjoys socialising on ChessCube have a very good chance of becoming a ChessCube Moderator. If you have been abusing or cheating on ChessCube with any of your accounts, you have very little chance of becoming a Moderator, as we select users who have been adhering to our Acceptable Usage Policy since their first day online.
and one more thing..
Read carefully the speacial "NOTE".
If you don't like something change it; if you can't change it, change the way you think about it..Learn to smile at every situation..See it as an opportunity to prove your strength and ability...Live Hard Live Your Dream

A ChessCube moderator is a player who has been chosen by ChessCube to help maintain a positive community both on the site and on our Forums. ChessCube Moderators have the ability to mute, remove, or ban users. ChessCube Moderators are not paid by ChessCube, nor do they gain free items or VIP membership. All their work is voluntary. Any privileges that they have are merely to help them with their moderating, E.g. Muting. They are simply ordinary players who have been granted special "responsibility". Anyone can be a ChessCube moderator. Chess skills never come into the equation here.
How to tell who the ChessCube Moderators are?
ChessCube Moderators are provided with a gold badge next to their usernames users list in our Chatrooms. Temporary Moderators are provided with a silver badge. It is also crucial to remember that Moderators are not ChessCube staff and they will never ask for your personal details (including your email address or password).
How can I report a Moderator for abuse?
If you see a moderator abusing their powers, you can report them as you would normally. Also, ChessCube frequently checks that Moderators are not abusing their powers, as we monitor all mutes, kicks and bans.

We generally follow this four step process when looking out for Moderators:
1. The first step is helping others, chatting in rooms and generally being a good ChessCube citizen.
2. The second step is an existing ChessCube Moderator recommending you.
3. The third step is answering a questionnaire that a moderator will give you access to once you’ve been recommended.
4. And the last is a vote from existing moderators.
Note: Asking moderators or regular ChessCube users to recommend you as a Moderator will not work - this will simply give them reason not to do so.

Re: What is a ChessCube Moderator?
Well, as some said, not easy becoming mod..much as much as I would like to give it a try, begging for it just won't do the trick, what you need to do is be a good user..and accept the fact..that it 'might' occur in the near future in some way
