Is this possible to pick and drop pieces?

Is this possible to pick and drop the pieces when it's my turn to move rather than drag the piece? Sometimes, mouse get slipped and the pieces are moved to a wrong square. It would be better if there is any settings for that...

I agree. I have lost several games like that. :(

Re: Is this possible to pick and drop pieces?

I agree also.
This is a common feature in chess programs, very much needed to avoid mouse slips.
Furthermore, it gives a better chance for playing no matter what kind of pointer-moving device your PC/laptop has, and it is almost essential for people with limited movement control.

I already posted a suggestion from the game interface, and I invite all people with problematic pointing-devices' behaviour to post this thread: let's make ChessCube people notice this request and this major hole in their software.

I definitely agree with you guys. Why only dragging and mouse slip? I want to move the pieces just by clicking origin and destination of the piece. It's safer and faster.

Re: Is this possible to pick and drop pieces?

Ask for move takeback. If it's an obvious mouse slip, many opponents will
allow this (time is credited back to before the move, too). Though, some
will have disabled 'move takebacks' allowed.

has any progress been made? click and click, as opposed to drag and drop is essential.
