I agree. This system is counter-productive. I understand that the CC is trying to increase revenue. However, the CC should try to encourage non-VIP players to become VIP players in a positive, user-friendly way. This current system discourages non-VIP players from playing games altogether. It's all about carrots not sticks.

please post your suggestions!

Re: ChessCube V6.28 changelog

This new rule is very disrespectful for non vip players. Even after winning you are losing the cubits. If you lose one game that will compensate 5 victories for 50 cubit games, that's not fair. :@
You are sure to lose your cubits very soon.

Re: ChessCube V6.28 changelog

They just don't care about chess, they just want to win more and more money, forcing the players to buy VIP. With this new system, for example, you can win 4 games (50 cubits' games) in a row and then when you lose a single game, the balance will be negative, because you get 10 cubits for a win and you lose 50 for a defeat. Just consider this, of the 100 cubits at stake they get 90 and give only 10 to the winner, they're taking the 90%!!! This is a commercial site, and you want to win money, it's ok, but I think you went too far with this. People is blind and they say "this is awesome". So the players are in most cases losing their cubits, and after a few time there will be a lot of player without any cubits, or too little. Nice strategy chesscube, you're getting worse and worse. I hope you lose all your users.

It's all about the money (what else). "Wanna play ? PAY!" Thanks for the good times, time to find another site to play.

If, the system remains as it now is, at 300 you will receive (not six months as earlier), three months of actual VIP (XP VIP was greatly reduced in value several months ago, that's being restored to its formal glory but with some modifications, such as dropping the XP 250 level for three months' VIP).

You'll need about 2,000,000 experience points for XP 300 (so, you can figure out how much longer it ought to take you -- though, game playing is now more expensive, too).

Re: ChessCube V6.28 changelog

v6.28 is a bit of a disimprovement.

I love the idea to chastise players for chickening out (here: not sticking out a Cubit), but I see non-VIP players resorting to borderline techniques (borderline studying, gambling or either cheating) if wins count for less than their privileged comrades.

I'm still in for resolving legal cheating: e.g. when a 1800 player challenge a 1300 one, pure to steal his Cubits. I don't know whether that's enforced or not.

Re: ChessCube V6.28 changelog

When will there be a fix for the lost move bug that's been around since year 2010? It's 2013 now and should have been fixed by now.
