Not able to wager cubits?

For some reason, I'm not able to wager cubits anymore. Is this a bug or glitch? Has chesscube changed their policy? Are other players experiencing this too? I notice that some games do show a wager.

Re: Not able to wager cubits?

Wagers have been replaced with paying to play, and winning a prize (if you win, the prize may or may not be large enough to return your payment). For no prize, there are 15 cubit games. I think the best price for playing just now is 200 cubits, visit https://www.chesscube.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=5068

Re: Not able to wager cubits?

Hi ! I played games for 25 cubits, and after that I won the game... And not a single cubit had returned back. Is this a bug? In this way I lost a lot of cubits and I can't play in tournaments because of the low cubits. Can someone tell me what is happening?

a) I'm not seeing such games for your handle (lots of 15 cubit games though, you get nothing back on those whether you win or lose or draw). Are you referring to some other handle that played 25 cubit games?

b) even at the best of times, 25 cubit games have a "prize" of merely 25 cubits (you get your game price back when you win, nothing more). But, if you were playing Black and won, I think you may get a 5% bonus (2 or 3 cubits) in addition to your game price.

(I suspect you have not been reading my forum posts suggesting that players choose either 15 or 200 cubit games, depending on their objectives. The other game price levels such as 25, 50, 100, 500 cubits etc., have much less value imo.)
