ChessCube Downtime - April 21 2011

its really boring!! this is my free and available time to play in chess cube. this is my only long time vacation to play more! please hurry up! im totaly bored.. Thanks

I think the downtime problem not as clear to Facebook users unless they also get the feed from your official Facebook page. If I click Play here on the actual site, I get the "Server Maintenance" message, but on Facebook, it seems to load normally and log me in (although a little slow), but then freezes up after I hit play. It actually says there are currently 787 Live Games as well, so it looks like everything is up and running.

Maybe you could make the Facebook version show the same server maintenance message immediately when loading the application? Several other Facebook apps that appear to be affected by the same datacenter problem are doing that now (See Oregon Trail, Carmen Sandiego, etc). Plenty of other websites are down as well, such as Reddit

Long Datacenter outages are inevitable, but the length of this one leads me to think they had some sort of catastrophic hardware failure

Yes I agree with you that this donwtime problem looks more like a hardaware failure and a serious one. I hope everything going to be allright soon. Good luck.
