Hi,

I am not able to log in to chess cube I get an error "Error unavailable" once I click the play tab.

I tried my other PC but no luck, is there some thing that I need to setup on my PC.

I could log in from my friends PC's using my account credentials.

Hi,

This has also happened to me a few minutes ago first time I tried logging, it may be temporary. It may also be a cause of poor internet connection, please make sure that your connection is stable, and try again.

How do you deliver an online lesson as a coach on chesscube? I received and email from ChessCube stating this was possible for coaches to create and maintain a free account to coach students. Please help me use this feature of Chess Cube.

how to post pgn chess puzzles and the answers?

Hi,

First thing you need to do is click on the pgn button when you would like to insert a fen or a solution to a puzzle, in both ways you will need to click on pgn, found here in one of your text forum options

To Insert a FEN

After clicking on pgn, you will be shown this [ pgn][/pgn] in between you will need to insert your fen position so you will need to add [ pgn][FEN" enter your fen here "][/pgn] (note the quotation marks and extra brackets!!)

An example could be found here:

[ pgn][FEN "n2Bqk2/5p1p/p4KP1/5Q2/8/8/8/8 w - - 0 1"][/pgn] (This example did not show because i have used space here after the first bracket [ pgn].

When removing all spaces, the listed fen above should look something like this:

[FEN "n2Bqk2/5p1p/p4KP1/5Q2/8/8/8/8 w - - 0 1"]

Please use the "quote" option to this post in order to see the example clearly


To Insert a Solution to a Puzzle (FEN)

After clicking on the pgn you will be shown this [ pgn][/pgn] in between you will need to insert your pgn solution, so you will need to add firstly the "FEN" (which is the position you made in the first step) then you will need to add the solution to the puzzle, by doing so you close your pgn format.

An example could be found here:

[ pgn][FEN "n2Bqk2/5p1p/p4KP1/5Q2/8/8/8/8 w - - 0 1"]

1. Qc8 Kg8 2. Bc7 Qxc8 3. gxf7 Kh8 4. Be5 Qc5 5. Ba1 Nc7 6. Bb2 a5 7. Ba1 a4 8. Bb2 a3 9. Ba1 a2 10. Bb2 a1= 11. Bxa1 1-0[/pgn]

(Again I have added space here [ pgn] after the first bracket [ then inserted the word pgn to try and make it clear for you)

The pgn solution should look something like this after removing all spaces:

[FEN "n2Bqk2/5p1p/p4KP1/5Q2/8/8/8/8 w - - 0 1"]

1. Qc8 Kg8 2. Bc7 Qxc8 3. gxf7 Kh8 4. Be5 Qc5 5. Ba1 Nc7 6. Bb2 a5 7. Ba1 a4 8. Bb2 a3 9. Ba1 a2 10. Bb2 a1= 11. Bxa1 1-0

I have used the fen in the first step into the 2nd step to show you an example of how it could be made as a puzzle solution from a static position (fen)

That is correct, but do not forget the quotations (") after FEN.

Let us work on your example above, it will look something like

[ pgn][FEN "7k/Q7/7K/8/8/8/8/8 b - - 0 1"]


1. Kg8 Qg7#[/pgn]

Now to see the original diagram:

[FEN "7k/Q7/7K/8/8/8/8/8 b - - 0 1"]


1. Kg8 Qg7#



You will insert the pgn format as normal but as black to move first 1.Kg8 Qg7# (in the example above) that would be blacks king moving to g8 since its a black to move puzzle.

Hi,

Go to your game history. You could find your game history by clicking on your name at the top of your chesscube application screen, you will find "View game history". Then navigate to the game you want to report.

There click on the "envelope" icon, it should say "share this game with your friends" when you hover over the icon with your mouse. In the email addresses section put support@chesscube.com. In the add message section, insert what you want to say. Chesscube staff should be able to see the in-game chat.

If you need further assistance with these steps you could find me in "cube cafe" if I'm online; click on my name and private chat, otherwise just ask here, and I'll do my best in providing you with screenshots.
