The sad reality is even unrated games cost CC $. Perhaps one day when CC has enough support from users, they may bring back free games.

Re: ChessCube Update: A message from the CEO

I find this quite ridiculous. The most affected by this are the most loyal members. And they are actually the ones that cc should value the most so I see very little sense in punishing them. The huge loyal player base is what makes people come back here, and this will make the base and the loyalty shrink...

Most of them (the interesting ones) can't even be rented with cubits. So, if you bought your cubits with the intention of spending them on videos, ChessCube have effectively pocketed your money without providing the goods.

I don't blame them at all for trying to make some money out of the site. It's a nice interface and it's worth paying for. I just wish they would get their act together and decide how it is supposed to work. And treat their customers fairly.

A long time ago there was site called CHESSPARK. CHESSPARK does not exist any more. Why?
Similar strategy as Chesscube now. Sorry but this is true. Good luck.

User A: "I can't wait to play on ChessCube with some of the friends I've made on there"

*signs on*

User A: "Where is everyone? Why aren't my friends playing anymore?"

*reads CEO's memo*

*signs off*

*googles 'play free chess online'*

A long time ago there was a site called World Chess Network. I bought a Gold Membership. Same thing happened.

If I could be sure that ChessCube wouldn't repeatedly downgrade VIP membership, I'd buy one.

I can't be sure.

What is certain is that I shall be playing no more games on ChessCube.

A shame.

Hello Sean.

I am in marketing/sales and have been all my life. I am very good at what I do and I have many suggestions for Mr.Levitt that could help save this website from extinction. What is Mr.Levitt's e-mail address?
