THE OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Welcome to the ChessCube World Cup II!

Which country will follow up on Indonesia's fantastic win in the CCWC last year? Time will tell!
In the month of July - ChessCube will be hosting the official ChessCube World Cup II Tournament. Sixteen teams will be permitted entry this year. In order to submit a team, please make sure you have the following:

* Team captain (may or may not be a member of the team)
* 4 team members
* 2 reserves
* Rating of all players (members and reserves - ChessCube Tournament rating)

NOTE: ALL players (and reserves) in the team should be VIP users for the month of July. (So either a 1 month VIP or a yearly VIP at the time)

Once you have gathered the above, the nominated team captain should send them to [email protected]. NOTE: Team entries posted here will not receive entry - you are required to email the information.

DEADLINE FOR ENTRY: 24:00 GMT/Midnight on Wednesday, 6 July.

Teams confirmed:
United Kingdom
India
USA
Italy
Bosnia and Herzegovina
Philippines
Greece
Indonesia
South Africa
Croatia
Malaysia
Romania
Macedonia
Venezuela
Serbia
Israel

The back-up teams if any of the above teams fails to meet the entry criteria (VIP checks, IP checks) are:
Philippines-B
Italy-B

Indonesia will receive automatic entry as current champions in order to defend their title. The Indonesian Captain should still however submit the required information as mentioned above.

There will be a few rules around this tournament - which will be released soon, however, the number 1 rule:
Each player must be playing from the country whose team they are in - your country will be determined by your IP address (this prevents teams from recruiting the best players on the site to play for them). If at any stage before or during the tournament your team has been found to have recruited a member outside the mentioned country, the entire team will be disqualified.

UPDATE:

See the team and group information, and tournament rules here!

Re: Official: ChessCube World Cup II (CCWC2)

Can we please make some private teams??Like the teams for b2b coaches and some b2b rooms??

I wish it should be,because we have less teams and only less players ( 6 per team ),as we have only 16 teams and 6 players per team,we afford only small number of players in whole chesscube for the CCWC ( 16 X 6 = 96 ) so even though we round it off to 100,we can say that we afford only 96 players for the Chesscube world Cup,But we have many members in CC over 1,400,000,so let us make some more oppurtunities for almost everyone in chesscube,so my IDEA is to first giving a chance for atleast 5-10 b2b coaches, and let the coaches teach and make their students as players for CCWC by giving some trainings and also we can make some " S & G ( sit and go ) tourneys as some qualifier for CCWC,then we almost get oppurtunities for everyone in chesscube

I hope my idea is very nice..!!

Please vote for it..!!!

Thanks...!!!
