at move number 43 Qb7 + i notice that opponent clock down till the end & chesscube server has reported that opponent lost by time..

i wanted to know my new score by refreshing the browser. i shocked that the last move from opponent didn't show in the actual game and i have refer back to the history i found that Qb7 was played and lost ........???????????????????

please advise,, as this is not the first time. i trust that chesscube can enhance the performance and control for such situations.

i would be happy if there are a way to investigate the game and take the prompt action to resolve such problem.

Dear shmattar,

I suppose that the most common reason is that the package with the move of your oponent was lost during the time going from server to your pc. Thus as you were waiting for the server to end his game and were claimed victorious you thought that you had won by him getting the lag stroke. Although in the end it was you the one who had the lag stroke. It has happened to me too, I think that this happens when you have more time left than your oponent when this massive lag comes.

I suppose that these are some "bugs" that can't be easily corrected since the admin don't have so much power over the server I believe.

Let's hope you do not face this again, when it happened to me I was a queen up and 30 secs up on timer as well as in better position, which is more frustrating, (being 30 secs up on time in 2 min timer with me being handicapped is quite nice).

Indeed it did report that I had won, but after that I was chatting in the daily warzone final as how I was awarded the win luckily when I saw that I was losing rating. Since I had already made some comments about me waiting for oponent move to know if I was disconnected or whose timer was going lower.

Then after a while where I thought I had won since the server told me I was winner I saw my rating going down and losing my score too, quite sad. I suppose I was the one who had the "lag" or whose package has been lost during the sending of the move. It can happen I just hope it doesn't get me when I am playing a low rated player in the daily warzone final, I don't like losing tournament rating points ^^. Afterwards I looked at my games history to see that indeed my oponent had made a move that I never received.

Well here it is another thread that say what you can do if you believe you are not reciving a move, I would say that you should do this if you have more than a min left. viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1571
